ugh. this record is so beautiful. just so fucking beautiful. the whole thing is precision movement. an intricate fluttering of magic on my eardrums. like wind through leaves and branches, delicate but powerful at the same time. ugh, just why Amon? why you gotta create a world so weird and pretty that I gotta spend all this time sitting and absorbing it? picking a favorite is hard but Velvet Owl just makes my brain so dang happy.

It was just like the 1st time I felt "This, this music, I really love it from the bottom of my heart" when my dad made me listen to psychedelic rock as a child. I got quite distant with that style while growing up and flowed into electronic music but this album made me go back home, it's the best of both worlds together. Vague, beautiful lyrics, yet so meaningfully relatable, and the vocals are just perfect. Big thanks to Sylvia Massy for making you sing by yourself on it <3
